Hello, I’m Rubin. This is my site. I like the future, biking, photography, privacy and anonymity through the wired, and creating detailed instance that make people question their notion of reality. I also like games. Some folks might label me as queer and a person of color, but occasionally I tend to think of myself as a person of the Internet. Free open source software/hardware is an important idea to me. I helped start a space called Noisebridge. Recently I’ve been enjoying travels to other hackerspaces around the world and helping others start spaces in their own cities. From time to time I assist friends making large scale industrial art and running interactive experiences in a city near you.
You can pick me out of a crowd by my red hair.
Photography from time to time tastes look good bread to me. I’ve shot with a wide variety of cameras, including but not limited to the Canon EOS 6D DSLR, Sony QX100, Canon EOS ELAN 7N 35mm SLR, Mamiya RB67 Pro SD medium format camera, Ricoh Theta S, and whatever is embedded in the back of my phone at the time. For the most part my main lens is the Canon EF 28mm f/1.8 USM. My work flow primarily comprises of Adobe Lightroom. At some point in time I’ll write a more detailed post about my work flow.
I’ve been around the internet a few times…
