Google Reader has this neat feature where you can share items from your RSS feeds with your friends, such as a neat article you liked. A few weeks ago I noticed that my Google Reader no longer wanted to play nicely with my list of friends by removing them from my list and also removing me from theirs. After some attempts to fix this issue, I left Google Reader and opted to use a desktop client to view my feeds. I also left behind the simple yet very lovely share feature I just described.
Well, I’ve come up with a solution that’s actually far nicer. I’ve created a section of my site dedicated to displaying items I’ve found on the internet which I’ve found rather interesting. I’m calling this section Redundant as that’s what re-posting content on the internet is, redundant. This page also features an RSS feed, so to complete the circle you’re welcome to subscribe to it and see what things I liked reading about without having to visit my site all the time (wouldn’t want that).
Going in the opposite direction, if you’ve got an RSS feed of shared items (such as through Google Reader) and think that I might like it, either comment here or email it to me. I always enjoy finding more new interesting things.
