After seeing this post on the EyeBeam reBlog, I was bounce around to the source.
From the bio section of the site:
Jillian Mcdonald is a Canadian artist, currently living in New York. She is Associate Professor of Fine Art at Pace University, where she also curates and co-directs the Pace Digital Gallery. Originally from Winnipeg, she dreams of the snow-covered prairie.
Jillian’s site contains many works of art, some of which look like Photoshop jobs. The one that caught my eye were some ‘chops of photos from the 2006 San Francisco Zombie Mob. The originator of the photos is Scott Beale from Laughing Squid. Nowhere on the site does it list off attribution to him, which is required by his used of the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 2.0 Generic. The description of each photo also requests that the user link back to Laughing Squid.
Sad thing is these horrible Photoshop jobs will be for sale at an upcoming gallery showing from my understanding.
Update: Just got an email back from the artist after she stated that the prints were on sale, she is now saying that was an error and the prints are not for sale.
